VTHoF Academic Scholarship
The Virginia Trapshooting Hall of Fame is proud to support young athletes pursuing both their educational and trapshooting goals. Each year, we award a $500 scholarship to a Virginia youth shooter who demonstrates excellence in academics, character, and commitment to our sport.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
Be a current Virginia resident
Be an ATA junior gold, junior, or sub-junior
Pursue a university degree or technical/trade certification as a full-time student
Be enrolled by fall of the current year
Have registered at least 1,000 ATA targets in the two prior calendar years
Remain an ATA member for one calendar year after receiving the scholarship
Selection Criteria


Recipients are chosen based on:
Academic achievement (GPA, scores, honors)
Extracurricular involvement
Leadership and community service
Financial need
$500 award deposited directly into the student's account at their school

Financial aid office documentation
Transcript (official or unofficial)
Essay or personal statement
One letter of reference
Materials must be received by June 15th, 2026
